This fall, Dee-Mack students have been working hard in and out of the classroom. We are proud to celebrate their dedication, leadership, and hard work. In October, Lydia Collins and Lincoln Rassi were nominated for student of the month, and in November, it was Vinnie Weeks and Lyla Schell’s turn.
Lydia Collins is a junior, and she is actively involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, and cheerleading. She is well known for her joyful personality, willingness to help others, and kindness. Lydia loves English class and her favorite book is The Only One Left by Riley Sager. In her free time, Lydia loves watching Grey’s Anatomy, and her favorite movie is the Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast. Lydia’s favorite food is mac and cheese, especially mac and cheese from Noodles and Company. Whether Lydia is studying, driving, or just hanging out, her go-to is Ariana Grande. Lydia is continuing to excel in her classes, on the sidelines, volunteering, and helping plan school activities. Congratulations to the October underclassman student of the month, Lydia!
Lincoln Rassi was the October senior student of the month. Lincoln is a member of cross country, track and field, National Honor Society, and FCA. His favorite class this semester is precalculus, arguably the most challenging class that Dee-Mack has to offer. Next semester, he will be taking calculus. Lincoln’s favorite food is horseshoes, the iconic midwestern meal. Lincoln is also heavily involved at church, and his faith is a large part of his life. He loves the song Almost Home by MercyMe, the popular christian music group. When Lincoln is at home, he enjoys watching White Collar, the comedic crime show. Lincoln is well deserving of this honor of Student of the Month!
In November, Lyla Schell was nominated to be November’s underclassman student of the month. Lyla, a junior, is involved with cross country, track, student council, national honor society, and FCA. Lyla is very artistic and enjoys art class because of that. When Lyla is studying, she loves to listen to worship music. Her favorite food is fruit, especially strawberries! In her down time, you might be able to find Lyla watching her favorite movie, The Little Rascals. Congratulations, Lyla!
Finally, our very own Vinnie Weeks, a senior, was selected for November’s upperclassman student of the month. Vinnie is one of the senior editors and leaders at the Red and White Review. He is also a part of National Honor Society, helps with the children’s ministry at his church, and an avid graphic novel reader. Check out his column, the Comic Corner! Vinnie is a huge fan of his AP English class with Ms. Tompkins. His favorite song is Vending Machine of Love, by The Stupendium. Vinnie loves to eat his favorite meal, the farmer’s bowl with scrambled eggs and cheese from Cornerstone Family Restaurant in Eureka. Vinnie loves V For Vendetta, the graphic novel and movie. On behalf of the Red and White Review family, we are so proud of you, Vinnie!
A huge congratulations to all of Dee-Mack’s students of the month!
