The Masters is one of the most prestigious golf tournaments in the world. If any golfer wants to win a major tournament this is the one they want to win. It is played in Augusta, Georiga April 9th-12th. The first Masters was held in 1934 and is known for its exclusive membership. To get tickets to the masters tournament you have to enter a ticket lottery June 1st-20th and then even if you win you still have to pay. It is a very hard tournament to get into. There are no phones allowed on the course.
Rory Mclaroy was the winner last year and he completed his grand slam by winning. Some other golfers that are favorites to win are the number 1 player in the world Scottie Scheffler, Bryson Dechambue and Ludvig Oberg. Some dark horses to win are Justin Rose who got 2nd last year. You win and you earn the green jacket which is every golfer’s dream. The winner of last year’s masters puts the new green jacket on the winner that year.
The Masters have a rich tradition. They keep the concession price the same every year so alot of it is cheap to buy. For example a beverage can be 3 dollars which to another professional sporting event it can be up to 8-12 dollars. There is a dress code for it so you have to dress appropriately.
