Yo, what’s up my book nerds! Welcome to “Between the Lines” by me duh. This is where we ditch the textbooks and dive headfirst into stories that actually matter. Forget boring old classics – we’re talking about the books that’ll keep you up all night, make you laugh ‘til you cry, swoon over your favorite book boyfriends, and maybe even change the way you see the world. Get ready to turn the page and join this adventure! This isn’t your teachers or parents book club; we’re here to explore everything from epic fantasy sagas, to heart-wrenching dramas, and even those murder mysteries that keep you hooked for days. So, ditch the homework (only for a little while) and get ready for this experience. Whether you’re a seasoned bookworm or just looking for something to pass the time, “Between the Lines” is the place to escape to. I will be writing articles from summaries of epic books, to what you should read next, and maybe even who my top ranked book couples are and why. I guess you’ll have to come and check it out to see. 🙂

About the Contributor
Bethany Owen, Journalist
Bethany Owen is a senior in high school. She does not play any sports, instead she braids hair for the girls basketball and volleyball teams whenever needed. She is also involved in Student Council and loves decorating and helping out when homecoming rolls around. She has a job as well, working at the IGA for over a year as a cashier. Her favorite thing about working there is the people watching and getting to interact with the community. In her free time, she likes to read, hang out wih her friends, and watch the sunset at her favorite spot. She is excited for this upcoming year as it is her last. In journalism, she would like to conduct interviews and get to know the students and staff better. One piece of advice Bethany has taken from the past few years is, “Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” Don’t take these four years for granted.
