Anthony Kim is an American professional golfer who now golfs for LIV golf. He plays for the Aces and just recently got added to the team a couple years ago. He first returned to the golf world in 2024 after quitting golf in 2012 due to injuries such as a torn achilles as well as drug addiction issues. He was also dealing with some other personal problems. He played little to none golf in those 12 years he took off.
Anthony Kim was a rising star on the PGA tour as he won 3 tournaments and was looking to get his first major. He won the 2008 Wachovia championship, 2008 AT&T Championship and the Shell Houston Open in 2010. In may of 2012 Anthony Kim played his final match on the PGA tour has he tore his achilles and in the first round of the Wells Fargo championship and having to get surgery to end his PGA career.
Anthony Kim played in the LIV golf Adelaide event in February, playing against the top players in the world like Bryson Dechambeau and John Rahm. Nobody had him winning or even finishing in the top 10. He rose as a big underdog and won the tournament after a 16 year drought. He overcame many obstacles in his life and inspired many other athletes to keep going.
