The All Star weekend is where players can relax and have fun and get a mid season break. The All Star game is filled with Veteran stars and also up and coming stars. They have many challenges and contests before the game and they also have a celebrity game. The 3 point contest has been one of the most watched contests as of recent. Damian Lillard announced that he will be competing in the 3 point contest even though he tore his achilles last year and has not played a game yet this season. The All star Game is played in the middle of the season unlike the NFL.        

There will be a game where it’s the Stars vs the world.The rising stars will play eachother and compete and challenge. The rising stars are not all stars but there are young players in the league who have potential to be all stars. Some of the top stars competing in the dunk contest are Carter Bryant from the spurs and Jase Richardson from the magic, both our rookies. Mac Mclung will not be competing even though he has won the last 2 years. 

There are many hall of famers like Lebron James with his 21st year and Kevin Durant with his 16th. This will be Lebron’s first year not starting as an all star in all of his 21 years of being selected.  “ If I’m there, I’ll be in attendance. If I’m not, I’ll be able to take full advantage of it.” Lebron James. He is talking about always being grateful for being selected as an All Star.
