Why does Dee-Mack not have them?
Dee-Mack hasn’t offered E-Learning days besides during the pandemic of Covid-19 when online days were the only option. Mr.Holmgren mentioned that students learn better in person than if they did it online which is also why he believes that student attendance matters. The following reason is because E-Learning days are district wide and affect K-12. Mentioned in the interview of the conflict with certain electives and how efficiently that class can be done online such as PE or a shop class.

Mr. Holmgren mentions that an E-Learning benefit is it counts as an in attendance day and it won’t have to be made up at the end of May. Also, not having e-learning benefits as yes, it will be made up in May but, it also means a “surprise” day off and staff and students can relax and enjoy the day off.
