Cinnamon Tree Farm
Cinnamon Tree Farms is a local favorite. Over the past couple years my family has gotten beautiful trees from this hit spot. It’s located on 17223 West Brimfield Jubilee Road, in Brimfield, Illinois. Cinnamon Tree’s newest owners, the Stahls family, bought the farm in 2014 from previous owners, Bill and Shirley Cinnamon. The Stahls lived across the road from the farm for over a decade, and their children worked there during the tree farm season. Bill and Shirley started the farm over 50 years ago, and now the Stahls want to continue this Christmas tradition. The Stahl family expressed, “as a family, our goal is to provide an atmosphere where family and friends can come together during the holiday season and experience the true meaning of Christmas, making memories, and starting traditions to last a lifetime.” Come by before their tree season ends on December 20th! Talbott’s Christmas Tree Farms
Talbott’s Christmas Tree Farms has been around for many years. This 2025 season will be their 78th Anniversary, from their opening in 1947. Every year they consistently open the day after Thanksgiving, and have set hours being Sunday thru Saturday 9 am to 5 pm. The original location was in a field north of Manito by Earl Talbott, now they have switched locations to 14143 Christmas Tree Road, in Green Valley, Illinois. The history of Talbott’s Tree Farm stretches back to 1954, when Earl Talbott, his brother Bob, and cousin Lacey sold their first trees for just sixty-five cents. Cut-your-own sales moved to the current Green Valley location in 1964. In 1977, Bob’s daughter Susan and her husband Brian Frank joined the operation and later purchased the business as Earl and Bob retired. For the past thirty-five years, Brian, Susan, and their children (Sarah, Will, and Chris) have run the farm, supported each season by thirty to forty local employees, including students, farmers, retirees, and longtime friends like Scott Friedrich.
Pine Grove Farms
Pine Grove at 15908 North Krause Road, in Chillicothe, Illinois offers a classic choose-and-cut Christmas tree experience. They grow several types of trees, including Canaan fir, Colorado blue spruce, Scotch pine, and white pine, with pre-cut options available too. The farm is open Friday through Sunday, 9 am to 5 pm, while weekday visits can be made by appointment. Pine Grove also provides wreaths, garlands, and a gift shop with seasonal items.
