Hope Week 2026 Overview

Take a Look at What Student Council Has Been Planning Behind the Scenes!

Hope Week starts on Monday, and there’s lots to look forward to. Let’s dive right into it!

What is Hope Week?

Hope Week is when the district raises money for both Camp Hope and St. Jude. Student council has been working hard at planning for the last month and is very excited to share all of the fun plans for the week. This year’s theme is “The Great Clue Quest” to match the theme for Camp Hope. The themes match so that all decorations can be donated to Camp Hope for them to use at camp! Every day, there will be a dress up theme and food sales.

Story continues below advertisement

Monday:

Theme: On Monday, the theme is Mustard Monday to pair with the Clue character, Colonel Mustard. Students have the opportunity to wear yellow, or they can wear camo.

Sales: Krispy Kreme donuts will be for sale before school and at lunch in the cafeteria concession stands!

Activities:

  • Kick-off Assembly: At 11:00, there will be a kickoff assembly, where students will listen to guest speakers and student council leaders. This will be a great way to kick off the week, helping students and staff see the meaning behind Hope Week and the impact our donations will have on so many lives.
  • Coin Wars:The popular class competition, coin wars, starts on Monday morning and continues through the whole week. Each class will have their own jar, where they can add coins for points. Students can put silver coins in other class jars to subtract points, and add pennies and dollars to their own jars to add points.
  • Secret Game: Mrs. Uner and Ms. Putney have been planning a surprise clue game for Hope Week that will be going on throughout the whole week. (psssst… a prize is involved, so make sure you participate!)
  • Sports: The final event on Monday is the home girls basketball game. Admissions will be a cash donation of your choice to get into the game. During halftime of the game, anyone can participate in the rainbow shoot contest, with a participation fee of $3. The winner gets a $50 Amazon gift card! Each class has put together a raffle basket that fans will have the opportunity to buy tickets in hope of winning the basket! Tickets are $5 each. Come to the game to find out what they have been working so hard on!

Tuesday:

Theme: Tuesday’s theme is Fancy Pants Tuesday, based on Mrs. Peacock. Everyone is encouraged to embrace their inner fancy or wear blue to match her color.

Sales: Salty snacks like chips will be sold on Tuesday in the cafeteria at lunch and before school!

Activities: Coin wars will continue, along with the school wide game of clue. The boys basketball team plays at home, where admissions will also be donations. Tuesday will be the last night to purchase raffle tickets, and the winners will be drawn in the second half of the game. During halftime, the cheerleaders will perform their halftime routine, and after that, there will be chuck a duck! There will be 2 prize winners and ducks will be $5 each or 5 for $20.

Wednesday:

Wednesday is a normal day with no class interruptions or sporting events.

Theme: The theme for the day is Whiteout Wednesday, based on Mrs. White. Wear all the white you can find!

Sales: Arguably the most popular food sale of the week takes place on Wednesday too. Oreo balls will be for sale before school and at lunch in the cafeteria!

Thursday:

Theme: Coordinate with Professor Plum by either wearing purple or participate in student/teacher swap!

Sales: Lots of home made baked goods will be for sale in what student council is hoping will be an annual Hope Week Bake Sale!

Friday:

Theme: Please wear your Camp Hope shirts, and if you didn’t get one, wear green!

Sales: All of the leftover food from Hope Week will be for sale in the concessions before school and during lunch.

Activities: On Friday, we will run a 1:30 dismissal schedule. There will be a buyout for the last hour and a half of school. The buyout is $5, and if students do not participate in the buyout, there will be a studyhall room. There will be an opportunity to buy a pie to pie teachers in the face! The winning class for coin wars will be cutting, shaving, or dying the hair of the teacher of their choice! Following these events, there will be a fun and shortened field day with all new games and one returning game. In the past, there have been games like tarp flip, balloon pop, and rainbow shoot. This year, the only returning game is Mario Kart, and every other game will be new to the student body! Student council is looking forward to seeing how these games go over with the school population!

We are looking forward to Hope Week and hope you are as well!
