Tilli Gerber is one of our 2025-2026 high school foreign exchange students. She is from Hamburg, Germany which she says “Hamburg is a really big city surrounded by water and it has a huge harbor, one of the biggest in the world. It has beautiful streets with old buildings and lakes in the middle of the city.” Tilli is fluent in German, English, and Spanish. 

She chose to become a foreign exchange student because she wanted to make new experiences, memories and try new things. Tilli thinks that schooling in America is easier because in Germany classes are more exhausting and long, unlike America, where she thinks we have more fun. Her favorite part of the year so far has been hanging out with new friends, going to football games, and being on the volleyball team.  She is looking forward to the holiday season but especially halloween because they don’t celebrate it much in Germany.
