Over the weekend of September 14th and 15th, the National Honors Society sponsored their 3rd annual “Paint Your Spot” fundraiser event for the Make a Wish Foundation. Any student who has a spot in the students parking lot could pay $25 to paint their parking spot however they chose.
Students drew designs referencing many things, from their favorite songs, tv shows, and more. NHS members were at the school from 9 am to 5 pm both Saturday and Sunday supporting participants in painting their spots.
These volunteers braved the hot sun and supported in many different ways, such as taping the outlining and sweeping people’s spots, helping them to gather materials, and even helping them paint. This year, they made $350 from this event.
Throughout the year, the National Honors Society has multiple fundraisers, including the Paint Your Spot, to raise money for Make a Wish, making a large donation at the end of the year.
Keep an eye out for more opportunities to raise money for this amazing cause throughout this year!
