The book Regretting You, was published by Colleen Hoover in December of 2019. Recently the movie based off this book was released and gained a lot of attention. It has actors Mckenna Grace, Mason Thames, Dave Franco, and Allison Williams starring and Colleen Hoover herself directing. Considering she has directed movies before that went very big, this naturally has been a topic of interest for a minute and many people raced to the theaters to see it.
This movie is about a 17 year old girl named Clara Grant and her mother Morgan Grant, they face a serious heartbreak in many different ways throughout the movie and have trouble navigating their way through it together. They fight and lie to each other but in the end they are happier than before, and the truth comes full circle.
Moving on to the fun part! What do I think of the movie? Well to start off, I like most about the movie: It is engaging and there are a lot of really good plot lines and each character has their own story and development throughout the movie. I really liked that there was more to it than just two teenagers falling in love, but there was also more than just Clara and her mom fighting. The movie shows forgiveness and love and has a great heartwarming ending! One thing I didn’t like about it is how fast they moved the plot along. It felt like at times there were things missed because it was so rushed. Overall, such a great movie and definitely something everyone should add to their watch list!
