Charli Deiss is a freshman cheerleader and track athlete at our school. She has been cheering since she was two and this will be her twelfth year. Outside of school she is an All-star cheerleader for Titanium Force Cheer in Peoria. Her sport has helped her build bonds with girls from different schools. Her teams over the years have given her a purpose and a distraction from things happening outside of the gym. She continues to improve physically and mentally, by obtaining new skills, learning the importance of mental toughness in situations, and building endurance for other sports. Charli’s coaches have been so supportive through her years as an all-star cheerleader and help her thrive in the sport. Cheerleading has begun to open up opportunities for a near future with colleges and coach connections. Charli has a had a lot of accomplishments, here are just a few:
Posted on many social media platforms as ‘the best d2 gym’ or ‘the best level 4 d2 team ever
U.S. Finals Champ x4
Cheersport Champ x2
NCA Champ 2025
Top 3 in the Cheer League Overall x3
Her motivation has been her losses in her sport. Through Charli’s years, she has had some devastating losses that have left her shocked. Going back to the gym after these struggles during the season gives her a sense of grit or determination to come out on top the next year.
We are so happy to learn about our very own Charli, come back for our next Beyond the Bell feature!
