As we are coming to the end of this depressing winter season, I thought “if I had to rank the months of the year one through 12, what would I rank it” and by “I thought” I really mean that I have an article due in two weeks and this was the best idea that I could come up with. So let’s get straight to it!
#12 February
Standing strong at the number twelve spot is February and it’s by a long shot. If you disagree you are simply wrong… My reasoning for putting February in the twelfth spot is, for one, it’s still winter so that means it’s cold and there is snow and ice everywhere. Let’s be real though, the real reason that I put it in twelve is because Valentine’s Day falls in February and to be frank, I will forever hate couples Until I get a girlfriend then my ranking will probably change but for right now I am a hater.
#11 January
January is one of those months where even thinking about it makes me unhappy. January is not the worst month of the year but it really isn’t all that and which says a lot because my birthday is in January. January is a snowy month as well as cold, but it’s not just a normal cold, it’s a very windy cold. It is also right after Christmas and still a long ways away from summer.
#10 & #9 March and April
I know what you’re thinking, you can’t do two months together. Well, I don’t care, it’s my list. March and April are mid-months. “But what about Easter?!” and “It’s warming up tho!”. Well, Easter sucks. Literally nothing happens except for rain during these two months and I personally do not mess with that.
#8 November
Mid month to be honest. It’s in between fall and winter. Day to day it could be too cold to not wear a jacket or too warm to wear one. Also I feel like this month has no color, it’s just dim. Literally nothing happens in this month except Thanksgiving and to be honest, I think Thanksgiving is overrated. Food is alright but it’s really just an excuse to eat and be in a house full of family members you haven’t seen since last Thanksgiving.
#7 August
August is known for being the month of the year that school restarts, and I hate anything to do with school. August is also a very hot month and the hottest month of the year in some places. I will say that it is decent because you are still able to go into water and pontoons but August is just an alright month.
#6 May
May is another one of those transitional months. I feel like May has the perfect weather for most people, mid 70s. Flowers are blooming and everything feels alive. This month is the month where I personally become happy again. I can go golfing and fishing as well as working outside. Also mowing the yard is cool, I mess with that.
#5 December
December is really good, a tad bit overrated but it’s good. The weather sucks usually, the roads are really bad, and it’s really cold, but the snow looks cool and that’s about it. Christmas is cool and all, I like the present exchanges and hanging out with my family but since I have grown up I don’t enjoy it as much. Though I do like looking at the decorations.
#4 and #3 September and October
Fall is probably my favorite season of the year. The weather is perfect as well as the scenery. The leaves are falling and I’m very happy. If you think differently, I could honestly care less because it is the best season. The weather is a mix of hot and cold, a little bit of rain, the perfect weather for a flannel. The summer heat is finally gone and football season is starting up. If you do not like to go outside as much it’s also the perfect weather to stay inside on the couch or your bed and watch movies.
#2 and #1 June and July
PEAK months of the year. The heat is pretty bad but that has no effect when you are out on a pontoon on the lake. Tubing is a top 5 experience in life and if you haven’t tried it, I 100% recommend it. Summer is where I develop the worst farmers tan but then towards the end It evens back out from being in the water. Golfing is also a pretty chill thing to do in the summer but it’s also a mental rollercoaster. Honestly it’s just because of the weather and the amount of fun you can have in the summer.
Here is what the Dee-Mack students had to say about it (I think they are wrong):
