Welcome to word of the day, with Allison Humphries! Expand your vocabulary every day this week with a new work from one of your fellow students!
Monday, November 4th, I talked to Baileigh Hammelman and Holly Hixon to get today’s words of the day. Here’s what we’re starting the week with…
Baileigh picked the word “bogus”, which Google defines as “not genuine or true, fake.“ Here’s why she chose bogus:
“I find Mondays to be the most bogus day of the week.”
Holly, on the other hand, went with “conflicted”. The definition of this word, according to Google is “having or showing confused and mutually inconsistent feelings.” Putting her own meaning on the word, Holly told me why this was on her mind…
“Last weekend into this week has been very conflicting and therefore that’s the word that convinces me.”
Come back tomorrow for Tuesday’s word of the day!
